Century Compliance Notice:
TBOS Tester

30 March, 1997

TBOS Tester v4.0c has been tested for century compliance per GTE specification PA96014 (rev. 1996-09-24), "Criteria for Century Compliance". Briefly, this means that dates appear in a four digit year format and date related problems that may occur in many systems on Saturday, 2000-01-01 or other sensitive dates will not be experienced with TBOS Tester, provided that it is being run on a century compliant computer and operating system.

Many of our clients may have to manually reset the system date in their (IBM compatible) computers the first time they are turned on after 2000-01-01, as the BIOS in many of these systems will return a date of 1980-01-01 at that time. If the computer happens to be on when 1999 changes to 2000 a manual reset will probably not be necessary.

As of the date of this notice, all copies of TBOS Tester will include this notice in auxiliary documentation (text file readme.doc), and diskette labels will bear the "Y2K" logo pictured below, indicating century compliance.
